EXTRACTION OF HYDROGEN FROM WATER

Development & modernization of any country is respectable but depletion of all its resources by means of progress is not favorable which is very common these days.

Every nation is trying to build its value and exhausting its resources like petrol, diesel, gasoline etc. As a matter of fact, in coming years all the natural resources tends to over, then what?

For this we have to think about some alternate option so as to avoid the situation of emptiness. That alternate option for fuel can be HYDROGEN.

As, Calorific Value of Hydrogen is maximum within common fuels. Below is the list which shows the comparison of Hydrogen with other fuels.

Fuel
Calorific Value
kJ/kg
Butane
49510
Charcoal
29600
Diesel fuel
44800
Gasoline
47300
Hydrogen
141790
Kerosene
46200
Methane
55530
Methanol
23000
Oil, heavy fuel
43000
Petrol
48000
Petroleum
43000
Propane
50350

So, why can’t we do the following:-
1.) Extract the Hydrogen gas from the easily abundant water (from ocean) and use it further as a fuel?

By means of it, we can use the Hydrogen gas as fuel and inbuilt some technology for hydrogen based engines.
